Alex hopes to one day move to LA and become a dancer. Besides dancing, she also loves spending time with friends and family.

Amanda C  20, of Deer Creek, IL is a dance instructor at the YMCA in Kewanee and at Water Street Dance Company. She is also the assistant coach for the Dee-Mack High School poms squad. Amanda started dancing at the age of three with Carrousel of Dance. At the age of eight she started competing with Gina Kennedy on her dance team.

She has done half time performances for the Peoria Rivermen, Chicago Bulls, and the Orange Bowl as well as an expedition performance at the 1998 Olympic Games. Amanda was also on the Dee-Mack poms squad for four years and competed in numerous competitions around the country.

Amanda’s goal is to one day successfully own her own dance studio.

Amanda M  18, of Deer Creek, IL will be majoring in Radiology. Her goal is to work for St. Jude as a radiologist. She is currently a waitress.

Amanda has 6 years of dance experience and has attended numerous competitions and camps with Deer-Creek Mackinaw High School.

Her passions are music, art and dance and her hobbies include drawing and playing guitar. 

Brittany  22, of Pekin, is a Team Lead/Claims Analyst for Engineering Parts Return at Caterpillar, Inc. She received her degree in Marketing/Public Relations at ICC.

Brittany’s dance background includes Pekin Community High School Dance Team, Cougars Dance Team, Water Street Dance Company, Dianne’s Dance World, The Company, and Pekin Park District.

Brittany’s future goals include advancement at her company. An interesting fact about Brittany is that she is forklift and Hazmat certified.

Chazery, 18, lives in Peoria, IL and is attending ICC and majoring in Financing. Chazery’s dance experience includes dancing with the Elite Force Dance Team, a competitive Hip Hop team, for six and a half years. Her favorite style of dance is Hip Hop.

Chazery also loves to play tennis and swim. Chazery attended Dunlap High School and she says her greatest accomplishment was being able to graduate early from high school.

Crystal  18, of Peoria, IL is studying Cosmetology. Her goal is to one day open her own hair salon. Crystal has 15 years of dance experience and seven years of cheerleading experience.

Her hobbies include dance, cheerleading and gymnastics and her favorite style of dance is tap. Crystal’s greatest accomplishments are making the Richwoods Varsity Cheerleading Team as a sophomore, improving at gymnastics and also making the Pirates Dance Team.

Janessa  19, of Washington, IL is a Fashion Consulting major at ICC. Her career goal is to be a fashion consultant for a high profile designer.

Janessa’s passions are fashion, dancing, and work. Janessa has been dancing since she was four years old at different studios and on the Washington Community High School Dance Team. She was also a cheerleader for four years, two years in grade school and two years in high school.

Miranda  18, of Chillicothe, IL is studying Cosmetology at Regency. She would like to open her own hair salon one day.

Miranda is currently a dance teacher and she has been dancing since she was three, competing since she was 11 and she has also been a cheerleader for four years. Her favorite style of dance is Hip Hop and she also loves to sing.

Nicole  27, originally of McHenry, IL is the Dance Team Director for the Peoria Pirates Black Pearls. She is the Creative Communications Director at Redeemer Lutheran Church as well as a freelance graphic designer. Nicole is a former NBA and AFL dancer. Her dance experience includes the Luvabulls (Chicago Bulls) and Adrenaline Rush Dancers (Chicago Rush). Nicole also founded and directed her own dance team for the Schaumburg Flyers baseball organization. Nicole attended Concordia University Chicago where she majored in Communications and Graphic Design.

When she isn’t dancing or designing, Nicole can be found spending time with her husband and family.

Nina  25, originally of Pella, IA is an Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Accounting.

Nina was part of her high school dance team for four years and was involved in high school cheerleading for one year. She was also part of the Iowa’s Best Muscle Dance Team, a hip-hop dance team, while in college promoting Iowa’s Best Muscle gym.

Some interesting facts about Nina are that she was actually born in the Philippines and has an identical twin! Nina is also married and is happiest when she is spending time with family and friends.

Paige  20, originally of Oglesby, IL attends Bradley University where she is majoring in Biology. Her career goal is to create an alternative source of energy that is healthy, safe and available to everyone.

Paige’s dance experience includes formal training for 11 years. She also performed in the nutcracker ballet, was a cheerleader in junior high and performed four musical productions during high school.

Aside from studying and dancing, Paige is also a Hooters Girl and she also enjoys singing, playing guitar, reading, softball and hiking. Paige says her greatest accomplishment was saving a child’s life when she was working as a lifeguard.

Philicia  26, of Peoria, IL is a Youth Services Director, Personal Trainer, Aerobics Instructor, and Track Coach. She graduated from Monmouth College with a degree in Communications/Physical Education. Philicia was a high school cheerleader at Peoria Notre Dame and college cheerleader at Monmouth.

Philicia was also an All-American track athlete. Her hobbies include teaching classes and working out. 

Sarah B  19, of Washington, IL will be attending ICC majoring in Fashion Merchandising/Marketing. Sarah’s dance experience includes thirteen years at Washington Dance Academy, four years at Water Street Dance Company on the competitive dance team, four years on the Washington Community High School Dance Team, and three years as a Washington cheerleader. Her favorite styles of dance are jazz and lyrical.

Sarah G  21, of Pekin, IL is a dance instructor and art teacher. She received her Associates degree in Art and Science from ICC and is majoring in Interior Design.

Sarah started dancing at the age of four and competing at the age of eight with Gina Kennedy’s competition group. Sarah continues to teach, dance and compete with Water Street Dance Company. She was also a Peoria Notre Dame High School cheerleader for four years.

Her hobbies include dancing, interior design, working out and spending time with family and friends. Sarah one day hopes to own her own home decorating and interior design studio.

Susan  21, lives in Pekin, IL.  She is a full-time student at Bradley University where she is majoring in English, French, and Secondary Education. She speaks French and plans on studying abroad in France for a full semester. Her career goal is to be a high school English or French teacher and earn her masters.

Susan has been taking all types of dance since she was eight, and has been cheerleading since she was nine. Her passions include dancing, teaching, and competitive tumbling. Susan says she is happiest when she is performing in front of a crowd.

Whitney  18, resides in Washington, IL   She will be majoring in Business Marketing/Merchandising. Her cheerleading and dance experience includes two years of cheerleading at Washington Community High School and CheerTime USA, two years of dance in high school, Washington Dance Academy and Water Street Dance Company.

Besides dance, Whitney enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with friends, and shopping. Another interesting fact about Whitney is that she used to live in France and is bilingual.
